About this accommodation

Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course – Floors Castle

Owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the Roxburghe hotel & Golf Course nestle amongst woodlands on the banks of the River Teviot, at the heart of the Scottish Borders. The 22 bedrooms, many of which have four- poster beds and log fires have all been individually designed by the Duchess. The excellent food is complemented by wines from the Duke’s own cellar. Leisure facilities include the championship golf course recognised as one of the finest inland courses in Scotland, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, croquet & a fully-equipped health & beauty Suite.

A few minutes’ drive from the hotel lays the romantic Floors Castle, with its roof bristling with turrets, pinnacles and cupolas.

The largest inhabited house in Scotland and home to the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, this magnificent edifice is a treasury of sumptuous tapestries, porcelain and 17th century French furniture and artwork.

The Roxburghe Estate will be participating in this year-long homecoming celebration by offering two very exciting packages to our guests.

Whether you are coming to trace your Scottish roots deep in the Borders and in Roxburghshire (heartlands of among others of the Armstrong, Elliot, Maxwell, Scott, Douglas, Turnbull or Rutherford clans), enjoy a game of Golf on our championship golf course or just want to enjoy and celebrate Scotland's culture at its best, then come and stay with us at the Roxburghe.
