You're always welcome at Hendersyde! Our family farm which lies between the River Tweed and Eden Water, downstream from Kelso, in the heart of the Borders!
 
The traditional farm cottages stand in a peaceful spot at the end of their own lane, surrounded by walks, wildlife and wonderful views. Offering a great self-catering base for researching your ancestry - with internet access, local knowledge and advice - we are always optimistic your search will be successful!
 
Sleeping up to four people, the cottages are warm and comfy with central heating and cosy sitting room fires. Very well equipped kitchens mean you can cater for yourselves, arrange to have suppers delivered to your door or enjoy the great choice of places to eat in Kelso and across the Borders, using delicious local produce.
 
As well as wonderful countryside and very strong traditions, The Borders is stepped in history with a wealth of abbeys, castles, keeps and great houses to visit. The jewel in the crown for researching your own history is undoubtedly The Heritage Hub at Hawick - about half an hour away.
